The reading for Tuesday is about Annotated Bibliographies.
We’ll go over Proposal Requirements in class.
The couple of pages of reading are about Thesis Statements.
We will be talking about Research Paper thesis statements now.
How are the thesis statements we are doing in this class different from ones you have done before? Or are they?
Tuesday’s reading will be about data graphics and display ethics.
Have you ever thought about the data behind a graph? What makes a graph/graphic ethical?
The reading is also about printed text design and why it is important — even in an English class!
The reading for Thursday, the 21st is basically about grammar. I just expect you to go over things that you need or want to learn more about. There won’t be a specific quiz (yet) about grammar things. There will probably be one about general grammar principles, though.
