This is a great example of ethos and perfect for this time of year.

Yes, you are right, it is a great example of ethos but also a great example of pathos, because i was reall y emotional to the point that, i almost picked up my cell phone to make a call for adopting one of those kids.

Leave it to me to get these two confused. I meant to put Pethos! haha

Leave it to me to mispell pathos! Oh dear…no more posts for me.

Definately suppose to be an appeal to the emotions.

Another video, this time with President Obama talking about the subject.

I always hate watching those. Makes you feel bad for having things so easy. Good example of appealing to the emotion for sure!

maybe if marijuana was legal violence would go down and health care wouldn’t be necessary because we wouldn’t need to go to the doctor for it :)

Ha thats funny I think violence would go down but as far as health care not quite sure i think we’d still have all kinds of health problems not associated with violence.

Lots of good, factual information here. Obesity is such a problem here in the United States. Unfortunately, we will continue to have this be a dominant problem unless there are incentives given to people if they are healthy and work out. A job that I had a while ago would pay me to work out. If i left work early and worked out, I would continue to get paid for an extra hour. This might sound sad and crazy, but it created a healthier business and better performance by the employees. They might of had to pay a little more, but they also were being reinbursed by better performance and as a result more productivity. The government should do this in some way. What do you think?

I think thats a very good idea, but people shouldn’t have to be payed to take care of themselves. It should just be something they do because it is right. The human body isn’t designed to just sit around, consume 4,000 calories a day and burn off 1/4 of that. Obesity is a problem but I think it’s our own fault. I am a bit more harsh on the subject being a cross country runner, and yes some people struggle with it from genetics, but all in all I think its just people who are lazy and don’t want to swap their burgers and fry sauce for some carrots and chicken.

I feel bad for people that are obese and know our country has a problem. I think everyone would love to look better feel better and live longer so they should try eating better.

I didn’t understand half the terms in this song. Meaning, whoever wrote it probably is a hardcore stoner. I need to make three more comments to get my total points for this class.

It was a decent song, but butchered a classic. Some of the pictures there sure aren’t helping the cause though of legalizing it. Say it is good for medicinal purposes. The one of the old guy doesn’t look to healthy.

Just a random comment (I’m well known for those), I think it is amusing how we all use youtube for our video links. Kind of shows how widespread it is.

So, you have to watch the whole video. Please, do not do this when writing a paper… And please don’t ask anyone to date you at the end of our oral presentations :)
