The reading for this Tuesday is to review chapters 1-2 in AB. Make sure you read it so that the group presentations don’t have to go over everything.

You can optionally read AB 228-238, which are some example informative and surprising articles. However, while they have some similar parts to the paper required for this class, they are a bit different.

Make sure you get your research started this weekend. You need to find your first source. Remember, though, that the library is closed on Monday.

For next Thursday, you will need to read the Surprising Introductions from the A,B,and C students (in blackboard), so you might want to get a head start on that. Pay attention to why they wrote what they did based on the source they choose, and my comments on how well they met the needs of the assignment.
