Garrett Winn's Writing Classes for UVU
Blizzard!
November 23rd, 2010 by Garrett in Announcements ||

Because of the impending blizzard and because I’d rather have you all be safe, I am canceling class for tonight.

That means that you need to bring your peer review sheets, printed sources, and cover letters with you next Tuesday (or you can still drop them in the box outside the English Department). Those who had conferences with me, you’ll bring your Personal Research Narrative next Tuesday as well. You are welcome to call or email me to discuss your research. In the conference I ask how your research is going and try to help you a little if needed. I also go over your current grades and see where you should focus your revisions.

I will also extend the deadline for submitting your papers (in case anyone gets stuck in the storm – I want you to drive safe). You now have until Wednesday evening to email me your paper, the teacher review sheet, and your sources.

So . . . have a good holiday, and we’ll see you on November 30th.

So what papers are you speaking of — our final paper? Or all revisions? Or both?

I think he’s talking about the Final paper and the Personal narrative. Because those of us who were going to have our meeting tonight can’t turn them in since the University is closed.

I was going to double check in class tonight but due to the storm… Well anyways my question is for the cover letter for the final paper is the letter formatting the same as the memo formatting? I can’t find a link on the blog and don’t have it in my notes either. I just want to be sure to get the top of my page looking right. Can anyone help me out?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just submitted my final paper, and I am now very relieved! Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I got mine submitted and taken care of as well! Thanks for the wishes, safe travels to everyone as well. See you on the 30th.

Does anyone remember what that video link is supposed to be about? And are we supposed to post it by the 30th like is says on the syllabus? I’m just confused about this assignment, any insight would be much appreciated.

There is a link posted now along with directions, you can view it right on the first page of the blog.
