Class for Feb. 14

Happy Valentines Day! Now get to work ;-)

So, for class on Monday, the groups who are presenting need to get everything ready. You probably also should get to class early (or at least one person in your group should) to check on any computer or video stuff and make sure everything works. After all, the setup time is also part of that 15 minutes max.

You also should be searching for and locating 1-3 additional peer reviewed sources. The easiest way to find sources is to look at your research question. You want your research to match up with your supporting points. So, for example, if your topic is Water Fluoridation and your research question is “How has bottled water changed the effectiveness of water fluoridation in the US?” then you want to think about what effectiveness means to you and do research on those points. So maybe for this example we think it means dental health,  other ways to introduce fluoride to the diet, and water consumption. Therefore, I would look for one source in each of those areas.

Also, you should be working on your teacher draft of the Analysis and Synthesis paper. It is not due until 11:59pm Wednesday, but you don’t want to put it off until the last minute, now do you?

Finally, you need to gather up 3-5 pieces of junk mail. These can be from your mailbox, given to you by family or friends, or from yours or someone else’s email. It just needs to be junk mail (otherwise known as Spam in email). And it needs to be printed out or in hard copy format.
