This Tuesday we are talking about Annotated Bibliographies in more detail.

I will probably also finish up our discussion of Logos.

You need to email me your Review of Literature before class starts on Tuesday for homework.

You should also have your Peer Draft ready to go out, as we will be getting into peer review groups for this.
(Oops, that won’t be until Thursday.)

Submitting the Proposal/Annotated Bibliography

As requested, here are the requirements for submitting your Teacher Draft of the Proposal/Annotated Bibliography paper.

Open the version you are submitting for your teacher draft.

Choose File > Save As. Name it: Proposal Annotated Bibliography_Teacher Draft_yourname

At the very end of the document, type Ctrl+Enter to add a new page.

Now open the Peer Draft document.

Copy the peer draft text (Ctrl+A to select everything and then Ctrl+C to copy).

Close the peer draft document.

In the Teacher Draft document, make sure you are at the top of the new page you created in step 3.

Paste the text (Ctrl+V).

Save the document.

Get the Teacher Review Sheet (the DOC version) for this paper from the 2020 Info section. Save it to your computer and change the file name to Proposal Annotated Bibliography_Teacher Review Sheet_yourname

Prepare an email to send to me.

Attach the teacher draft document.

Attach PDFs of the 3 or 4 sources.

Attach the Teacher Review Sheet document.

Send the email.

Create a letter that tells how you want me to comment and that responds to your peer reviews. You should also state who’s papers you did peer reviews of. Print out the letter. Sign it.

Get the Peer Review Sheets.

Connect these together using a paper clip (do NOT staple).

Bring the letter and peer review sheets to class to turn in on Tuesday.

002 – Library

We are meeting at the library on Tuesday morning, so go there first.

We will be in room LC 218.

You need to bring a completed printout of the 5 questions available in the PDF for the Intermediate Research lessons. To get the PDF, do the following:

Go to the library home page.

Click on the Course Materials tab near the top of the page.

Click the Intermediate Research link under Library Tutorials.

Read the page and start the assignment. You’ll want to answer the questions throughout the tutorial on scratch paper, then print out the PDF at the end of the exercise and fill it in with your answers.

601 – Annotated Bibliography Teacher Draft Due

Teacher draft due today. This means that you did a rewrite of the paper you had peer reviewed.

Accompanying the draft, you must have the following, in the indicated order:

Page telling how you want me to comment on your paper (all problems or just major ones, all grammar or just repeated problems). Also, include a paragraph or so explaining what you changed (or didn’t change) in your paper because of the peer review, and why.

Your teacher draft (stapled only to itself).

Peer Review sheet.

Paper you can the peer reviewers, with their comments on it (stapled only to itself).

Paper clip this all together into a single group.
