Bang, the race was on. The cars all jumped from the start, each one vieing for the

top position. At the end of the pack was

a huge bear. What was he doing here? As he lumbered forward with the cars

he was run over by at least fifty cars. Although it was painful for the bear it didn't do one bit of damage to the cars. There was

an animal rights group so furious that they were about to storm the track. As soon as the sinister man noticed them he quickly

sent guards to stop them, but it was too late, the group raged onto the track. It was then that the

crowd started getting involved. They were furious as well; they paid good money to see this race, and now it was being ruined by some bear and an animal rights group. Right then the F16 crashed

in the middle of the track. "Computer, end program." The world instantly dissolved leaving two children standing in the middle of the Virtual Room. "Next time," exclaimed the girl "don't let your brother run the simulator. He's crazy."

John ran down the street, people were everywhere. Panic had set in, "How much time do we have" John yelled. But all he heard was the wailing of the little children. The end had come - the best donut shop in the world had gone out of business. This didn't stop people from buying from the shop across the street, but everyone knew it was the shops fault that their were no longer any rainbow sprinkled white frosting donuts. It was all because of the loss of dough to make donuts with. That shop something had to be done, without the rainbow sprinkled donuts, this town would never be the same. John decided to take matters into his own hands, he'd open up his own donut shop and sell the favorite rainbow sprinkled donuts. He'd be rich, he'd be a hero, everyones new favorite guy in town. Things were starting to look up for John, maybe this morning wasn't so bad after all, John thought!

The dog barked at the neighbor walking down the street. It wasn't a friendly bark, but one that would scare almost anyone. What did the dog see?

There was a shadow cast of a large man on the paint chipped white fence.

Lassie never barked unless there was a reason. And this time was no exception. Something was wrong and Lassie knew it. The bark startled the man.

Then man ducked behind the old truck, trying to get out of sight of the old

dog, but Lassie could still sense him there. Coming closer. Lassie startled the man and he bolted down the street. She jumped over the white chipped fence and caught her paws on the top of it like always, doing a face plant into

the soft grass. She had barked for a reason. She had done this before, in fact, it was her entertainment. Tomorrow Lassie would scare another person and end up fact down in the soft grass.

"6:00 aalready?! I'm so tired! I need to get to sleep earlier. Three hours a night isn't going to cut it." he said
Should I skip class and get a couple more hours of sleep, or force myself out of bed?
I thought longingly of french toast, but pushed myself out of bed and into my uniform lest I be late for the dreaded zero-gravity combat course.
It wasn't quite time to leave, so I looked in the mirror to see what
Scary beast had risen from my bed today. I looked a little older, but somehow a little better looking than the night before. Just as I thought,
the elixir had been doing it's job. And where were the dire consequenses he had warned me of? They didn't exist, I wondered what his interior motives could have been.
It was then that the consequences set in. Hair began to grow on my back, I was transforming, but this wasn't
like he said it would be, this was much worse. I can't go to the combat course. I have to get down to the cave of wonders to find Stacy's mom. She's got it goin on and she'll help me get rid of this.

When are the proper times to use affect and effect?

Affect is a verb

Effect is a noun

Well shoot, I was in the process of writing the same mistake that Zach wrote. One of my friends says things like that a lot and I thing it's hilarious! here's another one: My phone's broke. The word broke is actually a verb when they are trying to use it as an adjective here.

When do I use effect and affect?
Most people struggle with in which circumstances do i use affect or effect. I even struggle with this concept myself. Sometimes i misuse these words without even noticing it and i have to go back and switch terms.
Now, would i use the sentence,
(1)"gas prices affected the economy."
or the sentence,
(2)"gas prices effected the economy."
Which sentence would i use in this case:
(3)"Gas prices had an enormous affect on the economy"
or,
(4)"Gas prices had an enormous effect on the economy."
Most of the time, affect is used as a verb, and effect is used as a noun.
Since in sentence (1) and (2) affect and effect are in a position that they are verbs, sentence (1) is correct because it uses affect which should be used as a verb.
Since in sentence (3) and (4) affect and effect are in a position that they are nouns, sentence (1) is correct because it uses effect which should be used as a noun.

"I don't got none."
This sentence is using a double negative, it should say; "I don't have any."
"I saw a eagle."
should be "I saw an eagle."
